Collective Change

As a group of women we have been friends for a while, each of us witnessing the others individual journey towards living more consciously and sustainably. During the home confinement we all experienced this year, it felt like the world had been turned on its head. Unable to gather socially, we found ourselves more reliant on the internet than ever and being housebound emphasised the extent to which our homes are our sanctuaries, our own personal space to create and evolve.

This is where the idea for The Conscious Home came about. We wanted to come together and share our knowledge, creating a global network of people who are committed to purchasing responsibly, living more naturally and finding enrichment in a simpler way of life.

On our site you will find a variety of guidance from us as well as guest bloggers, covering everything from low-tox living, optimal nutrition, sustainable gardening, DIY recipes, self-care routines and everything you need to know about essential oils and more.

We hope you enjoy x

For the past few years I’ve been actively making changes around our home to live in a greener and more sustainable way.

As a mum of two, I feel it’s important that we lead by example – our children need to understand the repercussions of our consumer habits and that even by making the smallest of changes, we can have a positive impact.

feel inspired to help others discover simple, natural and effective ways of meeting their needs whilst staying true to a core set of values. I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learnt along the way and learning a few new tips once our community starts to grow!

My journey towards more conscious living really started when I became a mum for the first time and I started to pay attention to ingredients labels on products I bought for my baby. This coincided with my Dad being diagnosed with cancer. Both triggered me into researching and learning about low-tox living and how to live more in tune with nature.

Since then I have become a DoTerra Educator, a certified holistic wellness coach and more recently studied herbalism as part of my ongoing journey to a more conscious way of life.

Being able to share the amazing benefits of essential oils is my passion, and I am very excited to be able to use this platform to share my knowledge with you.

Bianca Nicholson

I’m Bianca. I’m a mum of two, a Kiwi expat who has been living in Mallorca for 13 years and a lover of natural solutions. I was drawn to start my own low-tox journey when faced with a health issue a few years ago. From there I’ve gone from strength to strength and although I’ve made lots of changes, there is no thing as perfection and I’m still on my journey.

I’m a firm believer that knowledge is power and that we’ve been led down a path that has shut off our consciousness as consumers and turned us into sheep following the latest marketing ploy. I’d love to help you start your journey too.

Anna Barry

I’m Anna. My passion for conscious living is deep rooted in my being. Growing up in rural Australia I have always loved the effort that goes from paddock to plate creations.

My love for growing my own food, to making my own natural solutions within my home is where my heart sings.

I treasure the moments that I now get to instil in my children!

Jo Ravanello

Hello, I’m Jo. I live in the Teign Valley at Riverview Lodge, a low toxic natural health haven on the River Teign in Devon.

My husband and I are passionate about living free from synthetic chemicals that are harmful to our health. We aim to live a sustainable and ethical lifestyle by recycling, composting and looking after the nature that surrounds us.

We care for the environment but also want a clean hygienic home that is conducive to overall wellbeing. This involves harnessing the power of nature in the form of essential oils in all aspects of our existence. We are advocates of aromatherapy and use doTERRA essential oils in skincare, cooking and emotional wellbeing.

Katherine Tacon

I am a holistic massage therapist living near Marbella, Spain. I use dōTERRA essential oils during my massage treatments and on discovering these wonderful, aromatic oils, I have never looked back.

After the recent, unsettling events from Covid 19, I decided to look at how I live my life and what is really important to me. I have made many changes these last few months, one of which was to become an informed human being and to research anything and everything that doesn’t resonate with me. It’s been a very interesting exercise indeed, I feel empowered and awakened.

I also decided to live more self sufficiently, I have created a herb and vegetable garden, bought six chickens and am enjoying eating less toxic/GM food. We, as a family, are feeling the benefits already.

My mission is to empower others to also find simple solutions for everyday health and wellness problems and to help people overcome FEAR, live in LOVE and care for everything and everyone on the planet.
